Boyana Waterfall is the largest waterfall in the mountains Vitosha, 25 m high. Powered by from the Boyanska River, which flows from the northern slopes of Vitosha, below Cherni vrh. The waterfall itself is located on 1260 m above sea level (the base of the falls) and is at its most magnificent during the late spring months when the ice melt begins. But in any season, a visit is definitely worthwhile.
An interesting fact about Boyana Falls is that it freezes every winter, forming two ice tongues and is an extremely popular site for ice climbing.
